Brixton Metals Kicks Off 2025 Exploration at Thorn Project

Brixton Metals Corporation has launched its 2025 drilling campaign at the Thorn Copper-Gold Project in northwest British Columbia. The company plans to drill 8,000 to 10,000 meters targeting both gold and copper mineralization across key areas like the Camp Creek Corridor, Trapper Gold Target, and Catalyst Target. This well-funded program aims to extend near-surface gold zones and test newly discovered copper porphyry deposits. CEO Gary R. Thompson expressed optimism about the season, citing significant potential from both gold and copper discoveries.

Expanding Gold and Copper Potential with Focused Drilling

Drilling focuses on feeder structures within the Camp Creek Corridor, where previous holes returned promising gold, silver, and copper grades. For example, Hole 307 revealed 26 meters averaging 1.89 g/t gold and 0.28% copper, including higher-grade intervals. The Trapper Gold Target also shows robust gold mineralization, with past intercepts as high as 44.43 g/t gold over 2 meters. Meanwhile, the Catalyst Target hosts copper-molybdenum-silver veins within a broad alteration zone. Soil anomalies support the potential for expanding this porphyry copper system. Brixton aims to test these targets to validate and extend their mineral potential.

SuperMetalPrice Commentary:

Brixton Metals’ 2025 Thorn Project drilling campaign underscores the growing significance of copper-gold porphyry exploration in British Columbia. As demand for copper and gold remains strong amid the clean energy transition, discovering new deposits is vital. The multi-target approach balancing near-surface gold and copper porphyry potential aligns well with current market drivers. Investors and industry watchers should closely monitor Brixton’s assay results, as they could shape regional exploration outlooks and contribute to supply chain resilience in critical metals.
