Unison Ltd. introduces the Flex flat bar forming machine, which processes flat bars, toothed and pocketed flat bar profiles, and tubular shapes. Moreover, this machine forms complex flat bar designs, including freeform and sculptured shapes, in just minutes.

 

Integrating Tube Simulation Software for Precision

The Flex machine works seamlessly with Unison’s Opt2Sim tube simulation software, streamlining design and manufacturing strategies. As a result, this software calibrates flat bar shapes for bend and twist, ensuring manufacturers produce high-quality, right-first-time parts. It also accommodates typical constraints of metal tolerance and behavior, optimizing the production process.

Opt2Sim enables users to instantly import 3D files by dragging and dropping STEP files. Alternatively, users can input XYZ coordinates or YBC data to draw parts and view them in 3D. This functionality enhances flexibility and speeds up the design process.

 

Efficient Production with Advanced Technology

Unison’s all-electric machine and software package offer significant manufacturing advantages. For instance, the machine decodes CAD models of continuously changing 3D shapes, with reference surfaces, and recreates them using continuous 3D roll forming.
