3. Summary: Between March 10 and March 14, 2025, the prices of Inconel 718 (VM) and Inconel 718+ alloys increased. Inconel 718 (VM) rose by $0.02, while Inconel 718+ increased by $0.84. The price increases were driven by fluctuations in nickel and cobalt prices. In particular, cobalt prices surged due to a supply shortage caused by the suspension of exports from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Going forward, if nickel prices continue to rise, Inconel 718 (VM) may see gradual price increases, but Inconel 718+ is more sensitive to cobalt prices, which are expected to keep rising.
