[Price Reporting] Ti Alloys : Ti 6242, Ti 62222, Ti 15333
1. Reporting Duration: March 3, 2025 – March 7, 2025
2. Introduction to Metals: Alloy Price Analysis including Titanium Alloys
3. Summary: Between March 3 and March 7, 2025, Ti alloys saw a slight price increase. Specifically, Ti 6242, Ti 62222, and Ti 15333 experienced small price rises of $0.02, $0.02, and $0.03 per kg, respectively. Titanium, the base element of these alloys, remained stable, but the increase in the alloying elements tin and aluminum contributed to the rise. The suspension of mining operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo, due to conflict, disrupted tin supply and drove prices higher. Meanwhile, aluminum prices rose after the U.S. imposed a 25% tariff on aluminum imports, which further escalated supply uncertainties. As a result, Ti 6242, Ti 62222, and Ti 15333 alloys are likely to face continued upward price pressure, especially if disruptions in tin and aluminum supply continue.
