New Nickel Discovery and Positive Results from 2024 Exploration Program
Canada Nickel Company Inc. has unveiled promising results from its ongoing 2024 exploration program across its Mann Township properties in Ontario’s Timmins Nickel District. The company has drilled over 117,000 metres across 14 properties, with significant results from Mann West, Mann Central, and Mann South, all within 100 kilometres of Timmins.

CEO Mark Selby emphasized that the discovery at Mann West has proven to be highly significant, with strong mineralization across a strike length of 1.7 km by 0.6 km, which remains open in multiple directions. The Mann South discovery also holds substantial potential, while further results from Mann Central reaffirm the district’s nickel sulphide potential. With additional resources expected from multiple sites in 2025, the Timmins Nickel District is positioned for a significant expansion.

Mann Property: Exploration Progress and Upcoming Resource Estimate
The Mann property, located 22 km east of Crawford, is 80% owned by Canada Nickel, with the remaining 20% held by Noble Mineral Exploration. The 2024 drill program has focused on four targets within the property: Mann North, Mann West, Mann Central, and Mann South. The latest update provides assay results from 31 drill holes across these targets, with detailed findings from Mann West, Mann South, and Mann Central.

Mann West: Significant Nickel Sulphide Mineralization
Mann West, a 3.5 km by 1.1 km target covering 3.4 square kilometres, has proven to be the most advanced target, with drilling focused on the southern half. The exploration has intersected long sections of well-serpentinized peridotite and minor dunite, revealing visible nickel sulphide mineralization, including pentlandite and heazlewoodite. A total of 39 drill holes have been completed at Mann West, with 31 drilled in 2024, marking the completion of the first phase of exploration. This phase is critical for an initial resource estimate, expected in Q1 2025.

Mann South and Mann Central: Continued Positive Results
The Mann South target spans 5.9 km by 1.2 km and is also showing promising mineralization. In August 2024, Canada Nickel initiated a drilling campaign at Mann South, completing 20 drill holes, all intersecting serpentinized peridotite and dunite. Assay results from 11 of these holes are included in this release, with nine results still pending.

At Mann Central, the ultramafic body extends 4.5 km long and 0.5 to 1.0 km wide. Drilling at Mann Central has now totalled 32 holes, with 27 drilled during the 2024 program. Mineralization appears to be most consistent near the center of the target, covering an area of 1.9 km by 600 metres. Anomalous platinum group metals (PGM), including platinum (Pt) and palladium (Pd), were also detected in several holes, predominantly in pyroxenite units near peridotite contacts.

Exploration Progress and Long-Term Goals
Canada Nickel’s continued exploration success in the Timmins Nickel District underscores the significant potential for large-scale nickel sulphide resources. The company is preparing for additional resource estimates throughout 2025, which will further highlight the district’s potential as a key source of nickel for the growing electric vehicle and battery sectors.
