Guardian Metal Expands Garfield Project with New Mineral Discoveries

Guardian Metal Resources, a US-based mineral exploration company, has announced significant gold, silver, and copper findings at its Garfield Project. Located in Nevada’s Walker Lane Mineral Belt, the project now shows promising high-grade mineralisation. Surface sampling in the Power Line zone revealed rock chips containing up to 18.3g/t gold, 43.6g/t silver, and 14% copper. These results confirm the area’s potential for large-scale epithermal deposits.

The company also staked 42 new Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lode claims in the Freeze North zone. This expansion covers hydrothermally altered rhyolites hosting epithermal quartz-barite veins. Many veins were previously obscured by volcanic cover.

Garfield Project Drill Targets and Exploration Strategy

An induced polarisation (IP) geophysical survey identified drill targets beneath the Freeze and Freeze East zones. The survey revealed chargeable features directly along strike from high-grade underground workings. Previous samples from the Freeze zone included gold grades of 61g/t, 11.2g/t, and 6.73g/t. These findings indicate a mineralised system extending at least 500m eastwards, making it a priority for drilling.

Guardian Metal CEO Oliver Friesen highlighted the strategic value of the project. “High-grade assays and expanded mapping show a larger alteration footprint than previously recognised,” he said. The results support ongoing exploration and staking in Nevada, alongside Guardian’s tungsten projects, enhancing the company’s diversified portfolio.

SuperMetalPrice Commentary:

Guardian Metal’s Garfield Project demonstrates the company’s capability to identify high-grade mineralisation across Nevada. Coupled with its tungsten initiatives, these gold, silver, and copper assets strengthen the company’s US supply strategy. Market watchers should note the potential for strategic partnerships and further exploration upside, particularly as domestic mining gains priority in economic and defence planning.
