Jubilee Metals Copper Production Rises on Strong Operational Performance
Jubilee Metals Copper Production surged 65% in Q1 FY2026 as the company advanced its Zambia-focused growth strategy. The miner delivered 938 tonnes of copper for the quarter, up from 568 tonnes in Q4 FY2025. This increase reflects stable operations at the Roan concentrator and consistent refining throughput at the Sable refinery. As a result, the Jubilee Metals copper production uptrend reinforces the company’s momentum heading into FY2026.
The Roan concentrator processed third-party ore with strong grade consistency and produced 917 tonnes of contained copper. Meanwhile, new high-grade ore deliveries from the Molefe mine began in September and supported further volume gains. Jubilee expanded Pit 2 at Molefe and shipped 1,122 tonnes to Sable during the quarter. The company now targets 3,500 tonnes of ore deliveries in October and aims for 4,500 tonnes by late November.
How Jubilee Metals Copper Production Aligns With its Growth Strategy
Jubilee Metals Copper Production reflects the group’s broader Three-Pillar Strategy, which focuses on feed stability, yield improvement, and cost control. Production at Molefe continues to ramp up and supports a Q2 target of 8,500 tonnes of high-grade ore, depending on seasonal rainfall. Meanwhile, the company continues to stockpile lower-grade ore at 0.7% copper, exceeding two million tonnes with monthly additions near 70,000 tonnes.
Stable power supply, higher ore quality, and operational reliability across Roan and Sable strengthened the Q1 outcome. CEO Leon Coetzer emphasizes an upcoming phase of growth as Jubilee optimizes its copper circuit. He highlights optionality to increase throughput through historical tailings and the new Roan front-end, though these steps will follow the rainy season. Jubilee also recorded 215 lost-time-injury-free days, confirming strong operational discipline.
The miner updated its FY2026 copper guidance to 4,500–5,100 tonnes. However, rainfall conditions may influence ore delivery rates and refining throughput later in the year.
SuperMetalPrice Commentary:
Jubilee Metals Copper Production shows clear upward momentum driven by operational stability and well-sequenced mine expansion. This performance strengthens Zambia’s role in regional copper supply and positions Jubilee to benefit from rising demand in energy transition sectors. If the company maintains high-grade feed and advances its tailings strategy, it could unlock additional medium-term growth while reinforcing its cost competitiveness in the African copper market.
