Ontario expedites the Crawford Nickel Project under the new 1P1P framework, thereby fast-tracking Canada Nickel’s flagship nickel-cobalt sulphide mine. Located 42km north of Timmins, the project underscores Canada’s push for a domestic critical minerals supply chain. The Crawford Nickel Project targets 240,000 tonnes per day of ore production and 120,000 tpd of mill input. Ontario Minister Stephen Lecce added that the project will create 4,000 jobs while reducing reliance on Chinese nickel supply.
