Revopoint Trackit Enhances Industrial Measurement with Optical Tracking Scanner

Revopoint 3D has launched the Trackit, an optical tracking and blue laser 3D scanner designed to deliver high-precision industrial measurements. The Trackit system enables users to perform marker-free scans of objects ranging from small parts to large assemblies. This advanced scanner eliminates the need for time-consuming marker placement by using intelligent optical tracking technology, allowing seamless and efficient workflow.

Trackit’s automated gimbal calibration system boosts scanning accuracy and reduces setup time by up to 50%. Its lightweight carbon fibre frame prevents deformation errors, ensuring consistent reliability in various industrial environments. These features make Trackit ideal for sectors like reverse engineering, manufacturing, and quality control.

Dual Scanning Modes for Versatile Industrial Applications

The Trackit scanner supports two scanning modes tailored to diverse applications. For example, the 30 blue laser cross-line mode captures surface details rapidly, including challenging dark or shiny objects. Meanwhile, the single-line mode penetrates deep holes and crevices for comprehensive coverage. Therefore, this flexibility allows users to scan complex parts with precision and ease.

Mechanical Engineer Jonathan Mitchelson praised Trackit’s performance on intricate components, highlighting its marker-free operation and quick auto-calibration. In addition, its volumetric accuracy of 0.025mm + 0.04mm x L(m) guarantees dependable measurements regardless of object size. Furthermore, the dual-camera base station expands the tracking area for full surface coverage up to 2800 x 2800 mm at 4000 mm distance.

SuperMetalPrice Commentary:

Revopoint Trackit represents a significant step forward in industrial 3D scanning by merging accuracy, speed, and usability. Marker-free optical tracking reduces operator workload and enhances precision, vital for metals and manufacturing sectors facing increasingly complex measurement demands. As industries adopt more digital workflows, Trackit’s capabilities may set a new standard in scanning technology. This innovation promises to improve quality control and reverse engineering, directly benefiting supply chain efficiency and product development cycles.
