Velta Holding US Inc, a major player in titanium feedstock production, has received its third patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). This patent is for the company’s Velta Ti Process, a groundbreaking technology that is changing the way titanium powder is produced. It strengthens Velta’s position as a leader in titanium powder and related by-products, including titanium dioxide (TiO₂), which is essential for multiple industries.
The Velta Ti Process stands out for its innovative method of producing titanium metal powders and alloys. Velta’s Innovation Amidst Difficult Times
Andriy Brodsky, President of Velta Holding, shared his pride in securing three patents during a challenging time for Ukraine. “Despite the difficulties, we remain committed to innovation and vertical integration,” said Brodsky. Since 2017, Velta has invested more than $7 million into developing and refining the Velta Ti Process at the Velta RD Titan R&D center in Ukraine.
Compared to traditional titanium production, the Velta Ti Process is more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. It reduces carbon emissions and minimizes waste. The zero-waste aspect of the process allows for the reuse of by-products in several sectors, including metallurgy and pigment production.
