1. Introduce
– Precipitation hardening martensitic stainless steel containing approximately 17% Cr and 4% Ni with Nb added for improved properties
– Not for use at temperatures above 300℃ or in cryogenic environments, optimum mechanical properties can be obtained by applying an age hardening heat treatment
– Optimum strength can be achieved with an age hardening heat treatment in the 482℃ range
– Corrosion resistance of 17-4PH is similar to 304 stainless steel in most environments and generally better than 400 series stainless steels
