1. Introduce

– Higher content of Cr, Ni, and Mo than 304, 304L, 316, and 316L for improved corrosion and pitting resistance

– Has the best corrosion resistance, high-temperature tensile strength, and creep strength of all 300 series stainless steels

– Strength cannot be improved by heat treatment; strength is increased by cold work hardening
