Clean Energy Technologies and Exergy International Partner to Expand ORC Systems in the Americas

Waste Heat Recovery

New MoU to Accelerate ORC Technology Adoption
Clean Energy Technologies, Inc. (CETY) has entered into a strategic partnership with Exergy International, a global leader in Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) systems. The companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote Exergy’s ORC technology across the Americas. This partnership aims to address the growing demand for energy-efficient waste heat recovery solutions, offering scalable ORC systems for a wide range of industries, including cement, steel, glass, oil & gas, utilities, and power generation from biomass and geothermal resources.

The collaboration will enable Clean Energy Technologies to leverage its established market presence and engineering capabilities in the Americas, while Exergy will contribute its advanced ORC systems utilizing Radial Outflow Turbine technology. The ORC systems convert waste heat from industrial processes into usable power, significantly improving energy efficiency and supporting the transition toward decarbonized, sustainable energy systems.

Market Expansion and Decarbonization Benefits
Kam Mahdi, CEO of Clean Energy Technologies, highlighted the mutual benefits of this partnership, stating that the collaboration would allow CETY to access a broad range of ORC applications from waste heat recovery in industrial processes to biomass and geothermal power generation. The partnership will play a key role in supporting industrial decarbonization efforts by enabling companies to recover and utilize waste heat, which would otherwise be lost to the environment.

The companies are positioned to target sectors that are increasingly prioritizing sustainable energy practices. Industries such as cement, steel, glass, and oil & gas are seeing rising demand for waste heat to power solutions, as they look to reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency. The combined offering from CETY and Exergy will provide these industries with competitive, low-carbon alternatives for their energy needs.

Exergy’s Global Expertise Meets CETY’s Regional Reach
Luca Pozzoni, General Manager of Exergy, emphasized that this partnership would significantly expand Exergy’s presence in the Americas, a key market for the company’s future growth. He expressed confidence that CETY’s deep understanding of the regional market, combined with Exergy’s high-capacity ORC technology, would enable the companies to establish new ORC installations and increase market penetration in North and South America. Exergy’s portfolio includes over 550 MWe of ORC systems globally, which positions the company as a key player in driving decarbonization across various industrial sectors.
This partnership allows both companies to tap into the rapidly growing global market for waste heat recovery, driven by the increasing need for efficient energy solutions.
The collaboration is expected to be particularly impactful in supporting industries that are working to meet carbon reduction targets and improve energy efficiency, as part of their broader sustainability and decarbonization goals.

Scalable Growth Opportunities in Waste Heat to Power
The MoU between CETY and Exergy reflects both companies’ commitment to driving scalable global growth in the waste heat to power sector. As industries continue to seek out energy-efficient solutions that support their sustainability goals, the demand for ORC systems is projected to grow rapidly. The partnership positions both companies to meet this demand by providing highly-efficient waste heat recovery solutions that will help industries significantly reduce their carbon footprint.

Long-Term Growth in Sustainable Energy Solutions
Both Clean Energy Technologies and Exergy are well-positioned to lead the way in developing and implementing waste heat recovery systems that support the global energy transition. By providing energy-efficient solutions to a broad range of industries, the partnership has the potential to set new standards in the waste heat recovery market, helping industries move toward more sustainable, low-carbon energy practices. With the combination of Exergy’s cutting-edge technology and CETY’s established market presence, the companies aim to promote a greener, more sustainable energy future across the Americas.
