Accelerating Innovation and Efficiency with Additive Manufacturing
Conflux Technology has raised $11 million in Series B funding to boost its additive manufacturing capabilities, specifically for heat exchanger production. The round was led by Breakthrough Victoria, with support from AM Ventures and Acorn Capital. This funding will fast-track the development of the Conflux Production System, an automated solution designed to replace traditional heat exchanger manufacturing, reducing costs and addressing supply chain issues.
Revolutionizing Heat Exchanger Design for Global Industries
Through additive manufacturing (AM), Conflux has created heat exchangers that are lighter, smaller, and more efficient. Their method allows printing components as a single part, cutting material waste and production time. Industries like aerospace, e-mobility, motorsports, and hydrogen already use Conflux’s technology, benefiting from its efficiency.
Conflux has partnered with Odys Aviation to develop a heat recuperator turbogenerator for regional VTOL aircraft. This technology aims to reduce fuel consumption by over 40%. It will be integrated into Odys Aviation’s Laila aircraft, which is designed to carry cargo longer distances with reduced weight.
Global Expansion and Sustainable Manufacturing Focus
With new funding, Conflux will refine its manufacturing processes and boost production. The company plans to expand its presence in the US, Europe, and Asia, creating jobs to meet increasing global demand. Grant Dooley, CEO of Breakthrough Victoria, praised Conflux for driving sustainable innovation and advancing Australia as a hub for advanced manufacturing.17.
