Conflux Technology Secures $11M in Series B Funding to Advance Heat Exchanger Manufacturing

Conflux Technology Heat Exchanger Manufacturing

Series B Funding to Accelerate Technology Development and Global Expansion
Conflux Technology has raised $11 million in its Series B funding round to enhance its additive manufacturing capabilities and support the development of heat exchangers. The round was led by Breakthrough Victoria, with contributions from AM Ventures and Acorn Capital. This funding will enable the company to fast-track the development of its Conflux Production System, an automated, end-to-end solution designed to streamline the manufacturing of heat exchangers and replace traditional methods, improving efficiency and reducing supply chain risks.

Revolutionizing Heat Exchanger Production with Additive Manufacturing
By leveraging additive manufacturing (AM), Conflux has created heat exchangers that are lighter, smaller, and more efficient than traditional designs. Their approach allows these components to be printed as a single part, which cuts down on material waste, energy consumption, and production time. This innovation is already being adopted in a variety of industries, including motorsports, hydrogen, e-mobility, aerospace, and industrial machinery.

Strategic Partnerships in Aerospace and Other Industries
Conflux has partnered with Odys Aviation to develop a heat recuperator turbogenerator that aims to reduce fuel consumption by over 40% in regional VTOL aircraft. The technology will be integrated into Odys Aviation’s next-generation Laila aircraft, a plane designed to carry cargo and operate at longer ranges with reduced weight. The system’s enhanced efficiency will help the aircraft achieve a range of 450 miles with payloads up to 130 pounds.

Commitment to Sustainable Innovation and Expanding Global Reach
With this new round of funding, Conflux is focused on refining both its heat exchanger designs and manufacturing processes, ensuring faster and more efficient production. The company is set to expand its operations across the US, Europe, and Asia, and plans to hire additional staff to meet rising global demand. Breakthrough Victoria’s CEO, Grant Dooley, emphasized the company’s role in driving sustainable innovation, highlighting its contribution to Australia’s growth as a hub for advanced manufacturing.

Previous Funding and Growth
This Series B funding comes after Conflux raised 8.5 million AUD in a Series A round in 2021. AM Ventures has been an early investor, first supporting the company in 2017.
