Constellation Energy secured over $1 billion in contracts from the GSA. These contracts mark a significant step in clean energy initiatives. They encompass nuclear power supply and energy conservation upgrades. Constellation will provide over one million MWh annually starting in 2025. This reinforces the U.S. government’s shift to sustainable energy.
The contract will support agencies like the Department of Veterans Affairs and the National Archives. Power will be supplied across facilities in Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. This partnership demonstrates growing clean energy collaboration.
Energy Efficiency Upgrades Planned for GSA Buildings
Constellation also secured a $172 million energy savings contract. This will enhance efficiency in five GSA buildings. Upgrades include LED lighting, weatherization, and HVAC systems. Advanced building controls will also be implemented. These measures reduce costs and support conservation goals. Construction begins soon and spans 42 months.
Strategic Focus on Nuclear Power and Future Growth
