San Diego-based CP Group (CPG), a global leader in recycling and sorting equipment, has completed a 1.07-megawatt (MW) rooftop solar array at its corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility. This major renewable energy investment, delivered by Texas-based Holt Renewables, converts over 80,000 square feet of previously unused rooftop space into a sustainable energy asset. The system will generate 1.7 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity each year—offsetting nearly 70% of the facility’s annual energy needs.
This forward-looking installation features more than 2,000 solar panels and is expected to save CP Group over $10 million in energy costs over the next 30 years.
