The 2025 World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, promises to bring together a diverse range of global leaders, policymakers, and business executives to discuss the most pressing issues facing the world today. This year’s theme, “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age,” reflects the urgency of addressing geo-economic uncertainty, technological innovation, and sustainability.
Key Themes and Global Participation
The WEF’s agenda will focus on multiple critical areas, including artificial intelligence (AI), climate change, and economic growth. As geopolitical tensions, trade challenges, and climate concerns loom large, Davos provides a platform for leaders to seek solutions through innovation and global cooperation.
With over 3,000 participants from 130 countries, the meeting will see the attendance of over 350 governmental leaders, including 60 heads of state. Among the prominent figures expected are Donald J. Trump, President-elect of the United States, who will join the discussions via a live video link. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, and other global leaders such as China’s Ding Xuexiang, Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will also participate.
The presence of global innovators will be equally significant, with more than 1,600 business leaders and 120 tech pioneers attending. This wide-ranging participation reflects the Forum’s commitment to cross-sector collaboration aimed at addressing today’s complex challenges.

Discussions at Davos 2025 will revolve around harnessing cutting-edge technologies like AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology to foster productivity and improve living standards. At the same time, the Forum will prioritize safeguarding the planet, with conversations centered around climate action, sustainability, and ensuring that growth is inclusive.
Notably, international organizations such as the United Nations, the World Health Organization, and the International Monetary Fund will have prominent roles at the meeting. Leaders from labor unions, NGOs, and research institutions will also be present, contributing to a more holistic approach to solving global issues.
