EOS GmbH, a global leader in industrial Additive Manufacturing (AM) systems for both polymer and metal powders, has announced a major milestone: the installation of its 5,000th AM machine. This milestone machine, an EOS M 400-4, was delivered to Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing (KAM) in Statesville, North Carolina, marking a significant achievement for the company.
Growth and Innovation in Additive Manufacturing
KAM, a longtime EOS customer and now part of ADDMAN, has been leveraging AM technology to produce highly engineered and complex applications across industries like defense, aerospace, energy, and medical. With the addition of the EOS M 400-4, KAM’s portfolio now includes 18 EOS AM machines, expanding the total number of EOS machines within the ADDMAN group to 36.
Marie Langer, CEO of EOS, expressed pride in the company’s journey, stating that while 5,000 machines is a remarkable achievement, the potential for innovation in AM is limitless. The company’s journey began with a vision by Dr. Hans Langer, founder of EOS, who sought to transform manufacturing through data, analytics, machines, and robotics to drive efficiency and sustainability.
