FabArc Steel Supply Drives Progress on DataBank ATL 5 Data Center

FabArc Steel Supply Inc. has successfully completed the steel structure for DataBank ATL 5, a 48-megawatt data center project in South Fulton, Georgia. The project required over 5,000 tons of structural steel to create a 416,000-square-foot multi-story facility. FabArc’s AISC-certified fabrication facility in Oxford, Alabama, supplied architecturally exposed curtain wall framing, canopy box frames, and galvanized equipment platforms totaling 68,000 square feet.

Construction on DataBank ATL 5 began in June 2024, and the facility is slated to be operational by 2027. The data center will offer critical IT capacity, supporting increasing demand for data infrastructure driven by cloud computing and digital services. As a key subcontractor, FabArc Steel Supply met stringent quality and engineering standards, showcasing its expertise in large-scale commercial steel projects.
