Greenwave Technology Solutions Inc., a metals recycling company based in Chesapeake, Virginia, has unveiled an artificial intelligence-powered expansion of its subsidiary, Scrap App. This move aims to modernize the way scrap vehicles are handled. It also provides an enhanced experience for customers.
AI-Powered Automation to Improve Efficiency and Scalability
Scrap App’s new AI-driven features enable it to autonomously deliver real-time quotes for scrap cars, schedule vehicle pickups, and manage customer inquiries. This advanced automation allows Greenwave to reduce operational costs. It also improves scalability and elevates the overall customer experience.
Currently operating in Virginia, North Carolina, and Ohio, Greenwave plans to extend Scrap App’s reach to top U.S. markets by the end of the year. CEO Danny Meeks highlighted that the AI technology in Scrap App is set to redefine the junk car industry. This positions Greenwave for rapid growth in this high-demand sector.
Greenwave operates 13 metal recycling facilities across the United States. These supply steel mills and industrial partners with essential materials. The company first introduced Scrap App in September 2023 as an optimized pricing tool for scrap vehicles. Meeks envisions widespread adoption of Scrap App. This could eventually lead to a fee structure for each transaction and recurring listing fees.
