Enhanced Performance with the New Hammer Evo35
Incus GmbH, an Austrian manufacturer of 3D printing technology, has launched the Hammer Evo35 Lithography-based Metal Manufacturing (LMM) machine, a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the Hammer Lab35. The new printer offers improved surface quality, precision, and efficiency for producing complex metal structures, targeting industrial production rather than just research and development (R&D) environments.
The Hammer Lab35 was initially designed for R&D applications, but the Hammer Evo35 introduces new capabilities, positioning it as an advanced solution for professionals requiring high production performance in compact and durable machines.
Key Upgrades for Industrial-Grade Printing
The Hammer Evo35 comes equipped with several upgrades aimed at meeting industrial standards for durability and usability. These enhancements include:
- CNC-grade machine frame and mechanics: Ensuring superior precision and performance, ideal for complex metal structures.
- Next-generation projector units: These upgrades improve the printer’s resolution, enhancing the surface finish and detailing of printed parts.
- Improved climate control system: The build chamber now features more efficient temperature management, essential for ensuring print quality.
- Updated software architecture: The printer integrates a robust industrial interface, allowing seamless communication with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to optimize workflows.
According to Dr. Gerald Mitteramskogler, CEO of Incus, the Hammer Evo35 represents the company’s ongoing commitment to advancing metal additive manufacturing. “This redesign combines the core strengths of our LMM technology with new features that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety, all while maintaining the high-quality results our customers demand,” he said.
Industrial Adaptability and Versatility
Unlike its predecessor, the Hammer Evo35 is designed for professional environments where space is limited but high-performance machinery is a necessity. The upgrades provide greater production capabilities, enabling manufacturers to scale up operations without compromising on print quality or speed. The new machine offers larger build volumes and is optimized for printing with a wide range of metal alloys, making it an ideal solution for industries such as aerospace, automotive, and medical device manufacturing.
Showcasing at Formnext 2024
Incus will be showcasing the Hammer Evo35 alongside its Hammer Pro40 model at the Formnext 2024 exhibition, located at booth E59 in hall 11.1. The company expects to draw significant attention from manufacturers seeking high-performance 3D printing solutions for metal parts with demanding specifications.
