Key Achievements in 2024
Meltio, a leader in wire-based Directed Energy Deposition (DED) Additive Manufacturing, had a groundbreaking year in 2024. The company earned the National SME of the Year Award 2023, granted by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Banco Santander. His Majesty King Felipe VI presented the award, recognizing Meltio’s significant contributions to industrial innovation and additive manufacturing growth.
Meltio launched the M600 and Meltio Engine Blue in 2024, introducing new capabilities in 3D printing for industrial users. The M600, along with the Meltio Engine Blue, features a blue laser system and advanced hardware, allowing for more complex and faster manufacturing processes.
“We’ve made huge strides in 2024, moving from prototyping to producing reliable, high-performance final parts. Our technology is now a trusted complement to traditional manufacturing methods,” said Lukas Hoppe, Meltio’s Head of Research and Development.
Substantial Growth and Future Plans
Meltio also saw impressive financial growth, reporting a 50% increase in turnover from 2023. CFO Ildefonso Fuentes credited this success to Meltio’s focus on organic growth, a strategy that proved resilient despite global market uncertainties. Fuentes believes that Meltio’s continued technological development will help it maintain growth in 2025.
CEO Angel Llavero Lopez de Villalta reflected on the company’s expanding reach. “Meltio is becoming a global leader in Additive Manufacturing. Our technology is moving beyond prototyping, providing industries with high-reliability, mass-manufactured parts,” he stated.
Looking Ahead to 2025: Innovation and Expansion
Meltio’s leadership team is optimistic about 2025. Hoppe expects the company’s advancements in laser wire deposition to redefine the industry. “We are working on software solutions to maximize the potential of our technology, ensuring we continue to lead in innovation,” he said.
The company also plans to expand the capabilities of its M600 and Engine Blue printers. With over 500 of Meltio’s machines already installed globally, the company’s technology is enhancing industrial production lines by reducing costs and improving part quality.
Meltio’s commitment to innovation and expansion positions it for even greater success in 2025 and beyond. As industries seek more efficient and cost-effective solutions, Meltio is poised to continue leading the way in Additive Manufacturing.
