Metal Supermarkets Opens Second Location to Serve Worcester Area
Stefan Hristov has launched his second Metal Supermarkets store, targeting small-quantity metal buyers in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Hristov, who purchased the Boston (North) franchise in 2020, has consistently grown that operation. Now, he aims to replicate that success by expanding into the central Massachusetts market.
The Worcester store will supply a wide range of metals to businesses, contractors, and individuals. Service areas include Worcester, Hudson, Marlborough, Leominster, Shrewsbury, and more.
Metal Supermarkets specializes in no-minimum orders and rapid turnaround times, a model designed for flexibility and speed.
Strong Growth Fuels Confidence in Localized Metal Supply
Hristov attributes the success of his first location to customer service and responsiveness.
“Focusing on providing fast and reliable service to Boston businesses has helped fuel our success,” he said. “I’m eager to bring that same experience to Worcester.”
Metal Supermarkets CEO Stephen Schober expressed confidence in Hristov’s ability to meet regional metal needs.
“We’re proud of Stefan’s growth and his commitment to the Metal Supermarkets brand,” Schober said. “We know the Worcester store will deliver outstanding service.”
This expansion reflects a larger trend in the metals sector—localized service for just-in-time delivery.
Demand is especially strong from fabricators, machinists, and HVAC installers who rely on quick access to materials in varied quantities.
