NexGold Mining Infill Drilling Delivers High-Grade Gold Results at Goldboro Project

NexGold Mining Corp. (TSXV: NEXG; OTCQX: NXGCF) has announced promising results from its ongoing 25,000-metre diamond drill program at the Goldboro Project in Nova Scotia. The program aims to enhance the geological model and improve the grade continuity of the open-pit mineral resource. Infill drilling at the west pit has yielded significant gold intersections. Notably, they found 25.79 g/t gold over 4.5 metres. This discovery reinforces the project’s potential for future development.

Strong Gold Intersections Highlight Goldboro’s Potential

The drill program has focused on upgrading areas of the Inferred and Indicated Mineral Resources to provide a more accurate resource estimate. Results from 18 additional infill diamond drill holes have continued to demonstrate positive gold mineralization consistent with the geological model. Notably, drill hole BR-25-522 intersected 25.79 g/t gold over 4.5 metres. Within this, there was a particularly high-grade core of 227.0 g/t gold over 0.5 metres. These results confirm the potential for substantial gold deposits in the area.

Meanwhile, other notable intersections from the current drilling include 18.10 g/t gold over 3.0 metres in hole BR-25-489. Additionally, in hole BR-25-491, they found 2.27 g/t gold over 11.35 metres. These additional intersections reinforce the growing confidence in Goldboro’s resource potential. They indicate both the continuity of mineralization and the possibility of expanding the resource base.

NexGold Mining’s Path Forward and Feasibility Study Update

As the 25,000-metre diamond drill program nears completion by the end of Q2 2025, NexGold is preparing to incorporate the newly acquired data into its updated mineral resource estimate. This data will also be used in the Feasibility Study Update planned for later in 2025. The company is particularly encouraged by the unexpected gold intersections. These were previously not predicted by the existing geological model. These new mineralized zones will be incorporated into the upcoming resource model, ensuring more accurate estimates for the future.

Kevin Bullock, President and CEO of NexGold, commented, “The results to date are demonstrating that the general geological model is as predicted, with necessary adjustments for local variations. We’re also seeing additional gold mineralization in areas not previously identified. This will form the basis for an updated Mineral Resource Model that will contribute to a new Feasibility Study.”

SuperMetalPrice Commentary:

NexGold Mining’s infill drilling results at the Goldboro Project underscore the significant potential of this asset, particularly with high-grade gold intersections like 25.79 g/t over 4.5 metres. As the drill program nears its conclusion, the company is positioning itself for a meaningful resource upgrade. These results will likely enhance the attractiveness of Goldboro as a potential future gold mining operation. The addition of new gold intersections beyond the existing model adds another layer of excitement for stakeholders. Moreover, it reinforces the growing confidence in Goldboro’s prospects. However, the real test lies in translating these positive drill results into a scalable mining operation that can deliver long-term value to shareholders.
