Proplate, a provider of turnkey manufacturing services, is set to invest $1 million in a new facility located in Chunchula, Alabama. This strategic project is anticipated to create 30 jobs in Mobile County over the next three years, significantly contributing to the local economy and job market.
Commitment to the U.S. Market
Ian Hardy, a member of Proplate’s executive team and owner of the U.S. Project, expressed the company’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the United States. “We have been delivering components to the USA from Sweden for many years. We are keen to secure our presence in this important market by establishing an integrated production facility in Alabama,” he stated. This expansion is designed not only to enhance service for existing customers but also to enable Proplate to reach new clientele in the region.
Specialization in Steel Fabrication
The upcoming facility will focus on a range of steel fabrication processes, including cutting, machining, grinding, painting, blasting, and welding. Proplate plans to operate alongside G.A. West’s structural steel fabrication facility in Chunchula, promoting collaboration and operational synergies that can enhance overall efficiency and productivity.
