The company’s press service shared these figures with GMK Center, showcasing the significant growth and expansion in its market presence.

Granulated Slag Sales Drive Growth

A key factor in the sales growth was the substantial increase in granulated slag sales, which rose by 39% year-on-year (y/y). The company successfully tapped into the growing demand for eco-friendly and sustainable materials in the construction industry. This demand was particularly strong in the European market.

Surge in Exports to the European Union

Exports to the European Union (EU) surged, with shipments of granulated slag from Ukraine to the EU growing by 135% y/y, reaching a total of 889.5 thousand tons. Recycling Solutions accounted for over 80% of this volume, totaling 718 thousand tons. As a result, Ukraine now represents approximately 8% of the EU’s total imports of granulated slag. The main importing countries included Poland, Slovakia, and Romania, with Poland continuing to be a significant consumer of Ukrainian dry ash.

Domestic Demand Supported by Government Initiatives

In the domestic market, demand for ash and slag materials was primarily driven by government support and private developers. Sales of dump slag for road construction increased by 17% y/y, reaching 426 thousand tons. Additionally, sales of other ash and slag materials grew by 24% y/y, totaling 349 thousand tons.

Focus on Sustainable Solutions in the Construction Industry

Recycling Solutions has made significant strides in supporting the sustainable transformation of construction practices. This aligns with the European Green Deal and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). By emphasizing the use of recycled materials with a low carbon footprint, the company is contributing to environmentally friendly solutions in the construction sector. The company’s dedication to sustainability is also reflected in its investments. This includes a UAH 5 million investment to relocate the microsphere processing plant from Donetsk region to Burshtyn.

Future Outlook and Strategic Investments

Looking forward, Recycling Solutions plans to continue its focus on international markets and sustainable construction materials. The company’s commitment to developing green solutions for the European market ensures its continued growth and relevance in the evolving construction industry. With expanding exports and investment in new facilities, Recycling Solutions remains at the forefront of the green transformation in the construction sector.
