Aerospace Industry Gathers for Key Manufacturing Insights
Defence iQ has announced the opening of registration for the 2025 Advanced Manufacturing for Aerospace & Material conference, which will take place on February 26-27, 2025, at the Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel in Bristol, UK. This annual event, previously known as Additive Manufacturing for Aerospace, Defence & Space, is set to bring together key players from the aerospace, defence, and space sectors to discuss innovations and advancements in manufacturing technologies, with a particular focus on additive manufacturing (AM).
Networking Opportunities for Aerospace Professionals
In partnership with ASTM International, a global standards organisation, the conference will provide an essential platform for professionals from the aerospace and material supply chains to network and collaborate. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with AM users, research and development (R&D) experts, and industry leaders to explore new technologies and processes that optimise manufacturing capabilities and improve operational readiness.
Speakers from Industry Leaders and Experts
The two-day event will feature a range of key speakers from leading companies and institutions in the aerospace industry. Notable speakers include:
- Jöern Brauer, Principal Development Officer, Life Cycle Management Directorate, NSPA
- Matthew Bailey, Lead Technologist – Structures Manufacturing & Materials, Aerospace Technology Institute
- Lukas Jiranek, Senior Technical Lead, Boeing Research & Technology – Europe
- Robert Armstrong, VP of Mechanical Engineering, Leonardo
- Andrew Munday, Global Technology Director, Babcock
These experts will share insights on how advanced manufacturing techniques can be applied to streamline aerospace production, improve material performance, and drive innovation across defence and aerospace sectors.
Collaborating to Boost Aerospace Readiness
The conference aims to create a collaborative environment where vendors and end users within the aerospace and material supply chain can come together to share knowledge, discuss challenges, and explore solutions to enhance manufacturing processes. The event will focus on optimising manufacturing techniques to bolster operational readiness on the front line.
