1. Introduce
– High melting point metal with high density and low coefficient of thermal expansion, resistant to acids and bases
(Below 150℃, it does not react well with royal water, but at high temperatures, it will rust in high concentrations of strong acids)
– Ta alloying element effects: increased strength and ductility, higher melting point
(Tantalum : melting point is the highest after tungsten and rhenium)
