New Facility Will Boost Regional Production and Services

TrinaTracker, a leading global provider of smart solar tracking solutions and a subsidiary of Trinasolar Co. Ltd (SHA: 688599), has announced the construction of a new manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia. The plant, expected to begin operations in Q1 2025, aims to localize production and strengthen TrinaTracker’s presence in the Middle East.

The plant will be located in Jeddah’s 3rd Industrial City, under a land-lease agreement with the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON). With an annual production capacity of 3GW, the facility will primarily focus on manufacturing TrinaTracker’s Vanguard series of solar trackers and smart control systems. This addition marks the fourth production plant for TrinaTracker, joining existing facilities in China, Spain, and Brazil.

A Strategic Move to Meet Growing Solar Demand in the Region

The Middle East is emerging as a key market for solar power due to its vast land area and high solar irradiance. This makes it an ideal location for large-scale solar power projects. TrinaTracker’s Vanguard solar trackers, known for their reliability and advanced smart control systems, are designed to operate efficiently in challenging environments. These systems can withstand high temperatures, strong winds, and sandstorms, which are common in the region.

TrinaTracker’s solutions have proven to increase energy output by up to 8% annually, improving the internal rate of return for solar plant owners. The company’s innovative smart control systems optimize energy production, making it a highly attractive option for solar projects in the Middle East.

Enhanced Local Support and Service Capabilities

This new plant will help TrinaTracker meet increasing demand in the region while offering enhanced customer support. The facility will enable faster delivery times, improved technical assistance, and robust pre-sales and after-sales services. A dedicated service team will offer on-site support and training programs, reinforcing TrinaTracker’s commitment to customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

As of Q4 2024, TrinaTracker has delivered 27GW of smart solar tracking systems worldwide. The company plans to further expand its global footprint, providing innovative, efficient, and localized solutions to customers worldwide.
