US Antimony Secures Antimony Ore Supply from Thailand

US Antimony (USAC)

US Antimony (USAC) will source antimony ore from Thailand. This supply will support its Madero smelter in Mexico. The smelter is undergoing a restart. The initial shipment is 50 wet metric tonnes (wmt). This equates to two full containers. The delivery arrives at Manzanillo in March. USAC announced this news today.

The company did not reveal its supplier. Contract volumes remain undisclosed. However, USAC expects ore quantities to increase. This increase will occur over the coming months. The ore comes from a Southeast Asian source. This deal is USAC’s second supply agreement this month. They aim to boost Mexican operations. Operations ceased in March due to profitability issues.

Demand for non-Chinese antimony has risen. China suspended exports to the US. This incentivized USAC to restart Madero. Maintenance work is underway. This includes new refractory linings. SuperMetalPrice reports that this is a significant increase

USAC Increases Liquidity Access

USAC seeks to improve its liquidity. They filed a $100 million shelf offering. This requires regulatory approval. The offering allows security sales over three years. This raises capital as needed.
