ADNOC Implements Industry-First AR360 AI Solution for Enhanced Reservoir Management

Pioneering AI Deployment
ADNOC has rolled out AIQ’s Advanced Reservoir 360 (AR360) solution across over 30 reservoirs within its upstream operations. This follows a successful initial deployment in early 2024 at the Bab and Umm Shaif fields, marking a significant step forward in integrating artificial intelligence into oil and gas management.

Optimizing Reservoir Management
The AR360 solution, developed by AIQ in collaboration with SLB as part of ADNOC’s ENERGYai strategy, employs artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance reservoir management and optimize field development planning. Abdulmunim Saif Al Kindy, ADNOC Upstream Executive Director, emphasized the importance of this integration, stating that it demonstrates ADNOC’s commitment to leveraging advanced technologies to maximize the value derived from natural resources while meeting global energy demands.

Enhancing Efficiency and Recovery
AR360 streamlines planning processes, increasing well life and recovery rates by optimizing the balance between drilling new wells and enhancing the performance of existing ones. Magzhan Kenesbai, Acting Managing Director of AIQ, highlighted that this extended deployment not only validates AIQ’s technology but also positions the company as a growing global AI supplier within the energy sector. The goal is to drive operational efficiencies across the energy value chain, particularly in upstream operations.

Unified Decision-Making Platform
Unlike traditional forecasting methods that require multiple software platforms and data sets, AR360 consolidates everything into a single platform. This integration enables quicker and more informed decision-making. ADNOC has already adopted over 30 AI tools designed to improve safety, reduce emissions, optimize efficiency, and maximize overall value in its operations.
