Additive Manufacturing Takes Center Stage at AM Summit 2025
The Danish AM Hub has announced that : SME Edition will take place on October 1, 2025, at the MCH Messecenter Herning, as part of HI Tech & Industry Scandinavia. Unlike the expansive 2024 event in Copenhagen, this year’s summit will offer a concentrated experience tailored to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in manufacturing.
According to Frank Rosengreen Lorenzen, Director of the Danish AM Hub, demand for Additive Manufacturing (AM) among Danish SMEs is rapidly increasing. “We are seeing strong interest from SMEs to explore and apply 3D printing technologies,” Lorenzen noted. As a result, the summit will embed itself directly within the heart of Denmark’s industrial ecosystem—bringing innovation closer to real-world production challenges.
Attendees can expect five keynotes from Danish and global industry leaders, six technology-focused AM talks, and direct access to the 3D Tech exhibition area. This interactive zone will include demonstrations, AM-related exhibitors, and the return of the Danish AM Championship for vocational schools.
AM Summit 2025: SME Edition Targets Practical Innovation
The AM Summit 2025: SME Edition serves as a hands-on, knowledge-sharing platform aimed specifically at manufacturing SMEs looking to adopt or expand their use of Additive Manufacturing. As part of the HI Tech & Industry Scandinavia Fair, the event fosters industry integration and real-time exposure to cutting-edge applications.
Danish AM Hub’s dedicated stand and its AM Sustain business course will also be highlighted during the summit. This initiative provides structured guidance for companies starting their AM journey. Registration is free but limited, and the first 100 registrants will enter a draw for five hotel stays, sponsored by the Danish Industry Foundation.
With a mix of real-life case studies, networking, and direct industry contact, the summit is positioned as a launchpad for AM adoption within Denmark’s robust SME sector.
SuperMetalPrice Commentary:
AM Summit 2025 demonstrates a strategic shift in how innovation is delivered to the manufacturing backbone of Europe—its SMEs. By aligning the event with the HI Fair and focusing on practical application, the Danish AM Hub aims to close the gap between cutting-edge Additive Manufacturing and real-world industrial integration. This approach reflects a broader European trend where national AM ecosystems prioritize accessibility, sustainability, and scalability. For materials suppliers, machine builders, and powder producers, this summit offers a clear signal: the next phase of AM growth will be driven by small- and mid-sized manufacturers ready to adopt, adapt, and scale.
