New Aluminium Powder Line in Pennsylvania
United States Metal Powders, Inc. (USMP) has announced a major expansion of its aluminium powder production capabilities with the addition of a new manufacturing line at its Ampal Inc. subsidiary in Palmerton, Pennsylvania. Set to begin full production by the summer of 2025, the new line will be capable of producing both nodular and spherical aluminium powders, further strengthening USMP’s position as a leading global supplier of aluminium powders.

Ampal, the largest producer of aluminium powder in North America, has been operating in Palmerton since 1982 after relocating from Flemington, New Jersey. The company is part of the USMP family, which also includes Poudres Hermillon in France.

A Strategic Expansion for USMP’s Global Market Reach
This new production line is a key part of USMP’s strategic growth plan and reflects the company’s commitment to meeting the increasing global demand for high-quality aluminium powders. The products from this facility will serve a broad range of industries, including aerospace, defence, automotive, energy, chemicals, and construction, among others.
