Bold Ventures Accelerates Activity at Burchell Gold‑Copper Project
Bold Ventures Inc. (TSXV: BOL) has advanced its Burchell gold‑copper project, located about 100 km west of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Mechanical stripping is nearly complete over the 111 Gold Zone and seven additional targets. The company has started washing and sampling exposed rock to define mineralization.
The team has also conducted a ground Very Low Frequency (VLF) electromagnetic survey across the Northwest claim area and the 111 Zone. They are now processing and interpreting that data. These geophysical efforts will help delineate high‑priority drill targets in the exposed zones.
The Northwest claim area forms the northeastern strike extension of the Moss Trend (on adjacent Gold X2 Mining’s Moss property). A 2024–2025 MMITM survey over this region identified clusters of gold, copper, and molybdenum anomalies. Bold conducted about 13 line‑km of VLF across the area, integrating geophysics with soil anomalies to generate drill target zones.
111 Zone Highlights and Ring of Fire Exposure
The 111 Gold Zone surfaced late in 2024 via grab sampling; one sample returned 68 g/t gold. The gold occurs in the shear contact between felsic and mafic metavolcanics. Limited hand‑stripping and channel sampling this summer uncovered an anomalous zone 4.5 to 6.5 metres wide, with a channel sample yielding 2.1 g/t gold over 0.5 metres. Bold has since fully stripped this zone and will commence systematic channel sampling.
Meanwhile, Bold’s presence in the Ring of Fire region grows via its Koper Lake Project. The company holds a 10% carried interest in the Black Horse Chromite deposit and a 40% working interest in other metals across the claim group. Bold also retains a right of first refusal on a 1% NSR over all metals within the claims. The Koper Lake claims sit near critical chromite and Ni‑Cu zones and within reach of proposed infrastructure developments in northern Ontario.
SuperMetalPrice Commentary:
Bold Ventures is methodically layering groundwork ahead of its first drilling campaign. The stripping and geophysical surveys at Burchell indicate a disciplined approach to discovery. Simultaneously, its stake in Koper Lake strengthens exposure to chromium and base metals in the Ring of Fire. As Ontario’s northern infrastructure plans crystallize, Bold stands to benefit from proximity, resource breadth, and first‑mover positioning. Watch for drilling results and the pace of Road access updates—they may become key catalysts in the next phase of growth.
