Interpipe’s Seamless Pipes Power Offshore Wind Farm Construction
Interpipe, the Ukrainian industrial leader, shipped nearly 250 tons of seamless pipes for an offshore wind farm in the English Channel. The project site lies near the French communes of Le Treport and Dieppe in Normandy. The pipes serve as foundational structures for boat mooring platforms at 62 wind turbines. Diameters range from 101.6 mm to 419.1 mm, catering to diverse engineering needs.
The offshore wind farm construction began in January 2024 and will conclude by the end of 2026. Once operational, it will supply green electricity to over 850,000 regional residents. Interpipe’s collaboration with its Spanish partner ensured smooth supply chain execution for this landmark renewable project.
Focus Keyphrase: Interpipe Seamless Pipes
Interpipe’s seamless pipes are made from high-grade E355+N/S355NH steel, meeting EN 10297 and EN 10210 standards. These standards guarantee superior mechanical and chemical properties, essential for harsh marine environments. Jorge Ruiz, Interpipe’s pipe sales manager, emphasized the importance of product durability in seawater conditions, highlighting the pipes’ enhanced performance.
Previously, Interpipe supplied pipes for the Titlis ski resort reconstruction in Switzerland. Moreover, this project required materials that could withstand harsh environmental conditions. As a result, Interpipe’s expertise in producing durable pipes became crucial for the project’s success. Furthermore, the company demonstrated its ability to meet strict performance standards in challenging environments. That project demanded materials resilient against extreme weather and geological stress. This experience underscores Interpipe’s expertise in delivering durable, high-quality pipe solutions for critical infrastructure.
