New Online Store Revolutionizes Powder Procurement for Additive Manufacturing

m4p Material Solutions GmbH, based in Austria and Germany, has launched a groundbreaking online store to simplify metal powder procurement for Additive Manufacturing (AM). The platform, introduced during Formnext 2024, allows users to easily order metal powders for 3D printing with a streamlined “3 clicks to print” system. This initiative aims to improve accessibility and speed for manufacturers and AM professionals.

Focus on Transparency, Speed, and Efficiency

The webshop emphasizes transparency, offering customers detailed information on stock items, including pricing, material specifications, and availability. This eliminates the need for complex inquiries and speeds up the ordering process. Users can easily track their orders, ensuring timely and reliable delivery. Future updates will include an expanded material range and additional supply chain management tools, aiming to create a knowledge hub for the AM industry.

Industry Support and Positive Feedback

The new store has received positive feedback from industry professionals. Oliver Wagner of 3D Laser BW praised it as a “future-oriented step” that enhances their ability to source AM powders. Michael Hautle from BSF Bünter AG noted the platform’s simplicity, highlighting its quick ordering process and reliable delivery. This feedback highlights the store’s potential to increase efficiency in the AM powder procurement process.

Future Expansion and Knowledge Hub for AM Materials

m4p plans to expand the webshop’s offerings, adding more materials and features. The company envisions it becoming a central hub for AM professionals, providing not just materials but also technical resources to help optimize Additive Manufacturing processes.
