Monotech Systems Ltd, based in Chennai, India, launched the Markforged FX10 Additive Manufacturing (AM) machine in December 2024, marking a significant step in the country’s manufacturing sector. The event brought together key industry leaders and dignitaries, showcasing the potential of this advanced machine to enhance India’s manufacturing capabilities.

Advanced Features and Benefits of the FX10 AM Machine

The Markforged FX10 features a modular build system, enabling seamless switching between metal and composite build engines. With a build volume of 375 mm x 300 mm x 300 mm, the FX10 is designed to boost manufacturing productivity by creating robust and precise tools and fixtures. The machine includes cutting-edge printhead-mounted optical sensors that verify dimensional accuracy and assess device health. Additionally, it supports automatic calibration and material changeover, making it highly versatile for various production needs.

The FX10 is compatible with materials like 17-4PH and 316L stainless steel, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Its advanced features position it as a valuable tool for sectors such as aerospace, marine, energy, research, and drones.

Strengthening India’s Manufacturing Potential

The launch event highlighted the growing importance of India as a global manufacturing hub. Richard Elving, VP of Sales for Markforged in the APAC region, emphasized the country’s expanding role in the global manufacturing landscape, stating that India is at the forefront of the shift towards alternative manufacturing hubs.

Tej Prakash Jain, Managing Director of Monotech Systems, reflected on the company’s journey since its inception in 1999, noting that the launch of the FX10 is another key milestone in the evolution of India’s manufacturing sector. Prashant Sinha, Markforged Country Manager for India, highlighted the versatility of Markforged machines across various industries, underscoring their impact on sectors such as aerospace and energy.
