Penn United Technologies, based in Cabot, Pennsylvania, has expanded its technological portfolio with the addition of the AMCM M 4K metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) machine, supplied by AMCM, an EOS Group company based in Starnberg, Germany. This state-of-the-art machine will enable the company to meet growing demand for high-quality, qualified components across various energy sectors.
Focus on Energy Markets
Penn United plans to initially focus on producing parts using 316L stainless steel, a material commonly used in the energy sector. The company intends to leverage its extensive experience in regulated markets, including alternative energy, nuclear energy, and battery storage, to offer additively manufactured components that meet strict industry standards. With its expertise in machining, grinding, and electrical discharge machining (EDM), Penn United can provide tailored solutions and help customers determine the business case for AM in their specific applications.
Jake Jones, AM Business Development Manager at Penn United, highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation, stating that the M 4K printer will help address new challenges and benefit customers in a variety of industries.
