TomaGold Berrigan Mine drill results confirm high-grade mineralisation
TomaGold Berrigan Mine drill results strengthened the project’s growth outlook in Quebec. The company released new assay data from drill-holes TOM-25-014 and TOM-25-015. The Berrigan Mine sits within the Chibougamau mining camp in northern Quebec, Canada. The property covers 483 hectares across 16 claims near Chibougamau.
Drill-hole TOM-25-015 delivered the most significant intercept at depth. The hole returned 5.75% zinc equivalent over 98.5 meters starting at 451.2 meters. This interval included higher-grade sections with 26.67% zinc equivalent over 4.90 meters. As a result, the data confirmed strong continuity within the mineralised system.
Meanwhile, TomaGold identified a new semi-massive sulphide zone named Berrigan Deep. The zone remains open at depth and supports further exploration potential. Management views this discovery as transformational for the project.
TomaGold Berrigan Mine drill results highlight expansion potential
TomaGold Berrigan Mine drill results also showed encouraging shallow mineralisation. Drill-hole TOM-25-014 intersected 28.69% zinc equivalent over 2.1 meters from 185 meters depth. The intersection extended the vein system westward. Alteration zones favored serpentinised peridotite and pyroxenite host rocks.
TomaGold CEO David Grondin emphasized the scale of the discovery. He stated that the results suggest a large mineralised system open at depth. Consequently, the company plans to continue drilling once pending results arrive. Borehole electromagnetic surveys are scheduled for early February.
Geological context supports deeper exploration
Geological analysis linked mineralisation to contact breccia and fault mud structures. These features indicate active hydrothermal systems at depth. TomaGold exploration teams expect these systems to extend further below current drilling.
Vice-president Jean Lafleur compared the concept to deep deposits in the Abitibi region. He cited the Cadillac camp and the Larder Lake–Cadillac fault as proven analogues. However, this deep exploration strategy remains new for the Chibougamau camp. Therefore, upcoming 2D and 3D modelling will guide drilling between 250 and 500 meters depth.
SuperMetalPrice Commentary:
TomaGold Berrigan Mine drill results position the project as a rising exploration story in Quebec. The discovery of Berrigan Deep improves scale potential and investor confidence. If geophysics confirms sulphide continuity, the asset could attract strategic interest. SuperMetalPrice expects exploration momentum to remain strong through 2026.
