ArcelorMittal Poland recently installed Danieli’s RH2 rail head hardening system at its Dąbrowa Górnicza plant. This advanced system produces long rails up to 128 meters with hardness exceeding 400 HB. The technology enhances wear resistance while maintaining uniform mechanical properties along the rail length. Moreover, RH2’s production rate reaches 22.5 rails per hour, supporting high-volume demand for premium railway materials.

The RH2 system uses innovative heat treatment and cooling methods developed at Danieli’s Butrio research center.
