Dalaroo Blue Lagoon critical minerals system shows district-scale potential

Dalaroo Metals has unveiled a major critical minerals discovery at its Blue Lagoon project in Greenland.
The company completed its first modern sampling campaign during early 2025.
As a result, the program confirmed a 2.7-kilometre mineralised strike rich in zirconium, hafnium, and rare earth elements.

Importantly, all 113 samples returned anomalous results across auger holes and sediment samples.
This outcome marks the first sampling at Blue Lagoon since 1979.
Consequently, the project now stands as a potential new critical minerals district in Greenland.

The Dalaroo Blue Lagoon critical minerals system delivered zirconium oxide grades above 2%.
Meanwhile, hafnium oxide values exceeded 40 parts per million along the full strike.
These results point to a broad and consistently mineralised target area.

 

Hafnium and rarere Earth Elements strengthen strategic value

Hafnium plays a vital role in advanced microchips and semiconductor manufacturing.
The metal offers a dielectric constant six times higher than silicon dioxide.
Therefore, hafnium oxide sharply reduces electron leakage in modern transistors.

High-purity hafnium oxide currently sells for about A$16,297 per kilogram.
This price reflects limited supply and rising demand from global technology sectors.
Accordingly, Blue Lagoon holds strong exposure to high-value battery and electronics materials.

The project also returned high-grade rare earth element results at surface.
Notably, samples showed enrichment in dysprosium and terbium.
These magnet rare earths support electric vehicles, wind turbines, and defense systems.

 

Low uranium levels improve Greenland permitting outlook

Dalaroo Metals also reported exceptionally low uranium levels across the project area.
Maximum readings reached only 25 parts per million triuranium octoxide.
Greenland requires uranium levels below 100 parts per million for streamlined permitting.

This regulatory advantage could simplify future project development.
CEO John Morgan highlighted the scale and consistency of the mineral system.
He also noted strong alignment with historical GEUS geochemical anomalies.

Dalaroo plans infill sampling, trenching, and shallow drilling next.
The company will integrate geological mapping and remote sensing data.
Recently secured funding at A$0.055 per share will support these programs and work in Côte d’Ivoire.
