Xact Metal, a leader in metal 3D printing, has reported a major achievement in its business growth with the installation of its 150th metal 3D printer. The company also celebrated its second highest quarterly order revenue in Q4 2024, thanks to increased demand from the tooling and injection molding sectors.

The company attributes this success to its focused approach on specific applications and industries. Xact Metal has received both new and repeat orders from leading customers, underscoring its position in the marketplace. The 150th printer installation, which marks a significant milestone, was carried out at Zero Tolerance, a plastic injection molding machine shop located in Clinton Township, Michigan.

Expansion in Tooling and Injection Molding Sectors

Much of Xact Metal’s recent growth has come from the tooling and injection molding industries. The company’s XM200G metal printer, known for its high performance, has received a strong reception from these sectors. Xact Metal has also expanded its presence in the market through a new partnership with Uddeholm, a world-leading manufacturer of tool steel. Together, they are introducing a high-performing solution that pairs Xact Metal’s XM200G printer with Uddeholm’s corrosion-resistant Corrax metal powder. This collaboration is expected to address complex challenges in injection molding applications.
