Amaroq Confirms High-Grade Critical Minerals at Black Angel

Amaroq’s recent re-assay results from the Black Angel mine highlight high-grade zinc, lead, silver, and newly identified critical minerals. The bulk samples reveal zinc at 24.6%, lead at 28.1%, and silver at 295 g/t. Additionally, germanium (44ppm), gallium (21ppm), and cadmium (1,328ppm) were confirmed, two of which are critical to the EU and US governments.

These results support Amaroq’s strategy to establish a long-term mining presence in Greenland. CEO Eldur Olafsson stated that discovering these critical minerals enhances Western supply chain security, especially amid China’s dominant control over global gallium and germanium production. The company expects zinc concentrates to reach approximately 102ppm germanium, 48.5ppm gallium, and 3,040ppm cadmium, based on preliminary mass-balance assumptions. Amaroq has also completed all conditions precedent for acquiring the Black Angel mine and anticipates final government approval for the Kangerluarsuk licences in Q4 2025.

Amaroq’s West Greenland Hub, comprising Black Angel and Kangerluarsuk, will strengthen its development pipeline and long-term presence in Greenland’s mineral belts. Black Angel will operate as a stand-alone mine development project, separate from the Gardaq JV, which focuses on early-stage exploration.

Site reviews at Black Angel have defined facility upgrades and geophysical survey planning for the 2026 field season. Olafsson highlighted the company’s proven approach from Nalunaq, using existing infrastructure to advance high-grade resources efficiently toward production.

The West Greenland Hub will also serve as a logistical base for Suliaq, Amaroq’s service company, supporting equipment and operations across the growing mining sector in West Greenland. This infrastructure positions Black Angel as a cornerstone of Amaroq’s Greenland growth strategy.
