Electronics Recycling International (ERI) has formed a strategic partnership with Green Marble Co., the recycling subholding business of Hanoi-based VSD Holdings, to establish ERI Vietnam. Scheduled to begin operations later this year in northern Vietnam within an hour of Hanoi, the 50/50 joint venture marks ERI’s first owned and branded location in the country.
Expanding Global Footprint and ITAD Services
The new facility will bring state-of-the-art electronics recycling and information technology asset disposition (ITAD) services to the Vietnamese market. ERI Vietnam will incorporate best practices from both organizations, deploying ERI’s advanced shredding, sorting technologies utilizing artificial intelligence image recognition, robotic arms, and proprietary chain-of-custody software alongside the local logistics networks and operational expertise of VSD Holdings and Green Marble.
Responding to OEM Supply Chain Demands
While ERI maintains audited recycling partners across more than 140 countries, the Vietnam expansion follows its recent partnership with Itochu Corp. to form ERI Japan in March. ERI executives noted that Vietnam has rapidly emerged as a priority market due to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) clients manufacturing locally and requiring responsible recycling solutions for factory scrap and end-of-life materials amid evolving global supply chain strategies.

Driving Circular Economy Growth in Southeast Asia
The partnership aims to build a transparent, technology-driven recycling ecosystem that keeps materials out of landfills and feeds recovered resources back into the circular economy. Backed by VSD Holdings’ extensive local infrastructure—including waste-to-energy operations and manufacturing legacies—ERI Vietnam is positioned to support the region’s rapid industrial growth and sustainability transition.
