Unprecedented Surge in Aluminum Production Globally

Significant Production Increase Led by China

December witnessed a new global record for aluminum production, with a notable 3.02% year-on-year increase, totaling 6.24 million tonnes. China, free from the power restrictions previously affecting Yunnan province, significantly contributed to this surge with a 4.52% increase from the previous year.

Regional Contributions to the Record Output

While Western Europe and Russia saw increases in their aluminum production by 7.36% and 4.05%, respectively, North American output slightly decreased. Meanwhile, South American production grew by 3.17%, indicating a robust demand across these regions.

Diverse Global Performance

The global landscape showed varied production results; Asia (excluding China) and the Middle East increased their outputs modestly, while Oceania faced a slight decline. Despite these variations, the overall global production reached record highs
