Grit Metals Completes Maiden Finland Drilling
Grit Metals Central Finland Lithium Project

Grit Metals Corp. has successfully finished its 2,800-metre maiden diamond drilling campaign at the Central Finland Lithium Project. The program targeted high-potential Lithium-Cesium-Tantalum (LCT) pegmatites across the company’s Nabba and Jylhä permits. With core logging complete, the company is now preparing to submit samples for laboratory analysis to evaluate the resource potential in this emerging lithium district.

Strategic Exploration in the Kaustinen District

The drilling campaign encompassed 29 holes across the Kyrölä and Mörkylä targets. At Kyrölä, the company tested a geochemical boulder trend located just 1.5 km from the Mateneva spodumene occurrence. Meanwhile, the Mörkylä program investigated a boulder cluster discovered in 2024, which previously yielded surface samples grading up to 2.46% Li₂O. These efforts are designed to identify the bedrock source of high-grade lithium mineralization identified in previous surface mapping campaigns.

Proximity to Major Lithium Infrastructure

Grit Metals’ exploration efforts are strategically positioned within the Kaustinen lithium district, notably near assets held by Sibanye-Stillwater’s Keliber joint venture. The Keliber project, which includes a spodumene concentrator and a lithium hydroxide refinery, represents a significant investment in European hard-rock lithium supply chains. By operating in close proximity to this established infrastructure, Grit Metals aims to demonstrate the district-scale potential of its permits and enhance its standing as a critical explorer in the Nordic battery materials sector.

SuperMetalPrice Commentary:

Grit Metals’ progress in Finland highlights the continued focus on securing European-based lithium supply to support the regional energy transition. By drilling near the established Keliber complex, the company is leveraging regional geological data to de-risk its exploration. The upcoming assay results will be a critical inflection point for the company’s market valuation and its role in the competitive Kaustinen lithium landscape.
