Mill Steel Acquires Maryland Metals Processing

Mill Steel Co., a leading distributor of flat-rolled carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in the U.S., has acquired Maryland Metals Processing (MMP). This acquisition expands Mill Steel’s processing and shipping capabilities, especially in stainless and aluminum toll processing.

Strategic Move for Growth

MMP, known for its cut-to-length, polishing, slitting, and coil enhancement services, will continue operating independently. The acquisition strengthens Mill Steel’s national capacity and ensures the same high-quality service MMP’s customers expect.

Enhancing Resources and Service

Pam Heglund, CEO of Mill Steel, highlighted the importance of MMP’s location and capabilities. The acquisition enhances national shipping and processing. Ken McAvoy, CEO of MMP, emphasized the growth potential, noting that their team will stay intact, benefiting from Mill Steel’s expanded resources.
