Rio2 tailings filtration facility Condestable Copper Mine commissioning begins in Peru

The Rio2 tailings filtration facility Condestable Copper Mine project enters commissioning in Peru. Rio2 advances the project after completing an 18-month construction phase with an investment of about $27 million. The facility processes 8,400 tonnes per day of tailings output and marks a key step in the modernization of the operation.

Meanwhile, the system integrates into Condestable Copper Mine as part of a broader operational upgrade. The commissioning phase targets completion within ten weeks, with full commercial operations expected in Q3 2026. The project supports expanded tailings capacity and strengthens long-term mine planning.
