Powder Technology Processes

Driving Sustainable Practices in Powder Technology

The German Ceramic Society (DKG), Fraunhofer IKTS, and Fraunhofer IFAM will host a workshop. This workshop focuses on sustainability in powder technology processes. It will occur on March 25-26. The event explores ecological, economic, and legal aspects. These aspects relate to industrial sustainability. Powder-based technologies are a key focus. They are used in Powder Metallurgy and ceramics.

Key Insights for Industrial Users

The workshop offers valuable insights. Industrial users can learn about sustainability. They can apply it to powder technology production. The program includes industrial examples. These examples come from Powder Metallurgy and ceramics. Best practices and legal frameworks will be highlighted. Furthermore, attendees can discuss sustainability documentation. They can also visit the Fraunhofer institutes’ laboratories. Demonstrations of full process chains will be featured. These chains include powder preparation. They also include shaping systems for Additive Manufacturing. Heat treatment systems will also be demonstrated.

Networking and Future Discussions

A joint dinner will provide a networking opportunity. This fosters discussions on the future of sustainability. The focus is on powder technology. This event will allow attendees to discuss key innovations.
