Turkish Scrap Turkish Scrap Prices Rise Amid June Procurement Plans Turkey’s scrap import prices rose by $8 per tonne in early May as steelmakers resumed purchases after a procurement pause. According to Kallanish, HMS 1&2 (80:20) scrap climbed from $330/t to $338/t CFR between April 30 and May 6. This increase reflects rising supplier offers ahead of planned June orders. However, Turkish rebar producers failed to raise their prices in response to higher scrap costs.
